The Tortoise and The Hare
The Tortoise and The Hare are two independent works exhibited together, attempting to discuss the imagery of animals in fables through abstract projected images. Our memories are like a temporal cinema, with each moment involving forgetting, recalling, and re-narrating. Through the progression of projected slides, the abstract patterns change, trying to respond to the differences in the imagery of fable animals as they are retold and remembered over time. These symbolic animals, with the passage of time and widespread recognition, display known and unknown forms, much like creatures living between cognition, narrative, and aperture.
